I know the feeling of horror that sweeps over you when you drop a cake. I was trying to take a cake out of the oven and talk on the phone at the same time. Bad idea. I tried to sit the cake on some limited counter space and I watched as it teetered for a moment, then dove face down onto the floor. My husband's dad had no b-day cake that year.
